El Mando de Adiestramiento y Adoctrinamiento (MADOC) está bajo la supervisión directa del Jefe de Estado Mayor del Ejército de Tierra y gestiona todos los asuntos del Ejército relativos al Apoyo a la Instrucción, concretamente a la Enseñanza, Adiestramiento, Instrucción y Evaluación de Unidades, así como a la Investigación, Doctrina, Estructura y Equipamiento.
El MADOC depende de la Dirección General de Reclutamiento y Enseñanza Militar en las cuestiones relativas a la enseñanza y el adiestramiento militar. La creación de este Mando supuso la concentración y centralización de funciones hasta ahora dispersas, facilitando así la coordinación de esfuerzos y permitiendo aprovechar al máximo todos los recursos humanos y materiales de que dispone el Ejército.
